Our Product

Munich Software Solutions is behind LexGuard.

We're a Munich-based software company with a clear focus: legally sound, automated compliance solutions for companies that publish online.

Our first and core product is called LexGuard — software specifically built to help companies comply with the Digital Services Act. LexGuard automatically and continuously reviews whether published content violates applicable EU law, and documents every decision transparently — without requiring you to work through complex legal texts yourself.

The name Munich Software Solutions reflects our ambition: software built in Munich that meets European standards for law, data protection, and quality from the ground up. LexGuard is not an isolated tool, but the first in a series of products through which we aim to make complex legal requirements tangible and automatable for businesses.

The Situation

The Digital Services Act already applies — to every company that publishes online.

If you publish content on your own website or on channels like LinkedIn, you've carried legal responsibility for it since 2024. Manual review doesn't scale — and mistakes are expensive.

6%

Fine of annual revenue

Violations of the DSA can be penalized with fines of up to 6% of worldwide annual revenue.

0-500K

Posts per month

From a company's blog to a busy online forum — every published post needs to be reviewed individually.

~1%

Time you invest

Clear-cut cases are handled fully automatically. Only a small fraction of borderline cases ever needs a person's review.

Reg. (EU) 2022/2065

What the Digital Services Act actually requires.

The Digital Services Act (DSA) is an EU regulation that has been fully in force since February 2024 and applies to all providers of digital services within the European Union — regardless of where the company is headquartered. The regulation aims to create a safer digital environment that protects users' fundamental rights while maintaining fair competitive conditions for businesses.

Specifically, the DSA requires operators of digital services to swiftly identify and remove illegal content, to provide a transparent rationale for every moderation decision, to grant affected users a right of appeal, and to account for their own moderation processes to authorities upon request. Particularly relevant are Article 16 (notice-and-action mechanisms), Article 17 (statement of reasons for restrictions), and Article 20 (internal complaint-handling).

Contrary to common assumption, the DSA doesn't only affect the large platforms officially designated in Brussels. Smaller and medium-sized providers that publish their own content or enable user interactions also carry a duty of care — just with adjusted, less extensive requirements than very large online platforms. Ignoring these obligations risks not only significant fines, but also your own legal standing toward users and authorities in a dispute.

This is exactly where LexGuard comes in: we translate these legal requirements into an automated, documented process that runs in the background — without you having to work through regulatory texts yourself.

About Us

Legal-by-design, from day one.

How LexGuard came to be, what we stand for, and why we think about compliance differently than most.

LexGuard is a product of Munich Software Solutions UG, founded in 2026 in Munich. The idea emerged from a simple observation: the Digital Services Act now obligates every company that publishes content online to maintain traceable, documented moderation — yet the available tools were either built for massive platforms with in-house legal departments, or simply not legally robust enough to genuinely protect a business when it mattered.

That's why we built LexGuard differently from the ground up. Rather than treating compliance as an afterthought bolted onto existing software, we embedded legal review into the core of the architecture from the start. Every decision our system makes is traceable, backed by a specific legal norm, and fully documented — exactly what counts in a dispute.

Our ambition is to turn complex EU law into something usable without legal training. Behind this stands a combination of a carefully curated knowledge base of verified legal norms and modern AI analysis, built by a team that takes both the technical and legal side seriously. Every classification LexGuard makes is grounded in a specific, documented legal norm.

We believe good compliance software doesn't need to be complicated to be correct. That's why we deliberately chose against unnecessary complexity, in favor of a product that can be set up in minutes and then works reliably in the background — transparent, traceable, and always with a clear rationale for every decision made.

LexGuard is under active development. We're building the product together with our first customers and continuously expanding the knowledge base with additional legal norms, languages, and jurisdictions.
